Education (ongoing...)
My name is Chris Hlady. I have a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, and am pursuing a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.
Research
My research interests include algorithms, graph theory, artificial intelligence and computational epidemiology.

Personal
I maintain a fairly strong amateur chess engine (Crushinator) that plays on the Internet Chess Club. I occasionally do contract work on the side to help pay for expensive gadgets.
Hobbies
Aside from the usual music, tv, and movies I like to play racquetball, board games, card games, and have been known to read (or listen to) books every once in awhile.
Photography
Photography has also been added to my list of hobbies, but since I care enough about it to actually write about it on here it gets its own section. Many of my pictures are available through my Flickr page. I try to go out for a few hours at least once a week to take pictures around Iowa City with a group of friends. Weddings
